Interdisciplinary Theory and Concepts
This course focused on applying interdisciplinary thinking to solve complex problems by integrating perspectives from multiple academic fields. I gained experience analyzing how different disciplines approach research, theory, and communication and practiced synthesizing these methods into cohesive, well-supported written arguments. Emphasis was placed on research-based writing, critical comparison of disciplinary frameworks, and presenting ideas in clear, professional formats.

IDS-300WThis paper investigates whether current content filters on social media are adequate to protect minors from cyberbullying. Integrating perspectives from psychology, sociology, and the subdiscipline of computer science, I synthesized academic research, ethical implications, and technical realities to evaluate filter effectiveness. Through theoretical analysis and real-world case examples, I developed a comprehensive interdisciplinary argument while maintaining clear, structured communication. This artifact highlights my ability to apply writing-intensive methods to analyze complex social-technical problems and to navigate perspectives across academic and applied contexts.
