Assignment Takeaway 5
Throughout our 5th assignment, I’ve learned to be more appreciative of the little things in life and I feel like many people can make use of this assignment. I believe more than often we, as humans, become too fixated on our shortcomings and we dwell into the sadness, which leads to depression and anxiety. This is not to undervalue the diagnosis or those with it, but rather trying to point out the importance of a positive, realistic mentality. Little acts of kindness like the assignment ordered can help one feel a lot happier and more appreciative, and when these little feelings of happiness occur a lot throughout the day, it’ll definitely brighten anyone’s mood!
For my representation, I chose a picture of a man holding an umbrella for a woman in a wheelchair (only covering her) while he is getting soaked in the rain. This picture really touches my heart because I believe this is an act that is truly from the heart, and this is what our assignment was trying to touch base on.

Assignment Takeaway 4
While doing our “love” project, I’ve learned that the “type” of lover you are can indirectly dictate how easily you find relationships and the longevity of that relationship. As I reflected on my previous relationship with knowledge from what I’ve studied, I’ve realized that too much of an opposition or too much similarity can cause a polarizing relationship; on the other hand, communication is the key component to any relationship because that’s the only way to assure your partner understands your desires.
I’ve chosen flowers as my visual representation because I feel like flowers are seen as outdated now in romantic relationships, however many women (including myself) still loves receiving flowers as a surprise. I also believe these little gestures of love can improve a relationship.
