The Privacy Rights website provides an extensive repository of publicly available information regarding data breaches originated from many sources. Specifically, it classifies the breaches based on their type, organization, and the quantity of numbers that were compromised. This data can be utilized by researchers to analyze the breaches and see their evolving structure across the years. Furthermore, by analyzing the breaches that occurred in the past, one can determine the specific targets, and the frequency of attack tactics applied inside the business. Generally, this will enable companies to anticipate future breaches and, through the data and expertise, facilitates the adaptation of their strategies in accordance with emerging technologies over time.
