Students learn many things from doing research papers such as critical thinking, being able to find and collect data, and how to analyze. Research helps students apply themselves. Researching allows students to have a better understanding of what the topic or subject is. I believe that teachers assign research papers and projects to evaluate where the student is. Teachers want to se the students’ summary skills along with note taking strategies. In my opinion, research papers help students grow. They challenge the student to do the work and find information.
