Healthiness

What does it mean to be healthy? Being healthy is a routine and a state of mind. It requires commitment and dedication and in return you will feel your best and also think your best. Healthy body means a healthy mind which results in healthier decisions. It is a cycle that continually reinforces itself making it stronger and stronger. Below is a list of things that all contribute to this goal being healthy.

Eating Right: This is probably the most important part of this. Your body is your vehicle. Put clean gas and you’ll run clean. That whole car/gas analogy we are all familiar with. Eating correctly is what your body needs. Ensuring you are getting the right nutrients and vitamins. Balancing your diet with meat, vegetables, and protein is essential. Cutting out all the unnecessary food is also crucial. Limit your sugar intake as much as possible. Especially high fructose corn syrup. Your body struggles to break down those sugars since they are processed and refined. Your body was meant to break down sugars from things like fruit and natural sugar so putting high fructose corn syrup in your body results in a large amount of hard to break down sugars that will get stored as fat. Also, cut down intake of greasy foods and things with lots of butter. All those fats are not good for you. Buy produce and fresh ingredients. Don’t eat fast food often. It is ok to have a cheat day every now and again but you want to maintain a consistent healthy diet as much as possible. So limit sugars and fats. Limit sodium and snacks as well. If it looks unhealthy, it probably is.

Exercise: This is huge. Physical exertion is good for you. It is good to stress your body and push yourself. It is good for the soul to do difficult physical tasks. Builds character as well as muscles. Proper exercise will help release tension and endorphins. As your body becomes stronger, you will feel this in every way. You live in your body after all so when it becomes stronger, so do you. Exercise all comes down to personal preference and what you are trying to achieve. A balance between lifting weights, running, swimming, and calisthenics is the most desirable. Exercise often and push yourself, but not to injury. You will feel better and look better and be more healthy. Exercise in conjunction with eating correctly are essential to healthiness. https://www.lifehack.org/688549/the-ultimate-workout-routines-for-men

Maintenance: This includes massages, chiropractor, yoga, stretching, and the sauna. Doing all of these things helps you continue to workout. Exercise is something that builds on itself and benefits from consistency. Make something a habit and stick to it and it will become a habit for life. Exercising will take it out of you and make sure that you replenish yourself. Taking time to take care of yourself is essential. Everything I mentioned in the first sentence is all geared towards keeping your body working and moving well. Massages for taking care of muscular issues. Chiropractor for skeletal issues. Yoga and stretching are a great way of providing non-impactful exercise that strengthens your entire body. Keeping your muscles loose. The sauna feeds into that.

Moderation: This is in regards to limiting unhealthy behaviors. Drugs and alcohol are not very healthy for you. Imbibing any substance that isn’t natural is going to affect you. It will make healthiness very difficult to achieve. Drugs are obvious but drinking is also just as bad. Limiting alcohol is essential. It leaves you dehydrated and unable to workout as effectively as you would if you hadn’t drank. Also limiting sugar. Sugar is the biggest contributor to obesity in America. All the refined sugars that our bodies cannot break down get stored as fat. Ice cream, soda, almost anything has high fructose corn syrup. Read the label on the side and if you see high fructose corn syrup in there, then throw it away. Don’t even bother.

Positivity: The power of positivity is huge. The power of negativity is even more powerful. Negativity is 7 times more powerful than positivity. This means that negativity must be avoided at all costs because once it starts to seep in, then it can risk taking over. I have included a video that perfectly explains this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lCeWtXPKko
