How does cyber technology impact interactions between offenders and victims?
Often times victims will face some sort of cyber harassment or cyber stalking. It is so common these days that you should not even be surprised if it happens to you. These days, laws are being changed so that we can cover these sort of cyber events. Cyber related technology is so new that laws have to be added. It is an absolute necessity.
For years, it had been that attackers could have an easy way to get away with attacks. As security has become increasingly important and useful, it has made it more difficult for offenders to get away with attacking their victims. As laws are added, hopefully these sort of attacks will become much more less common in future decades.
Laws need to be changed because cyber crime is different than traditional crime. We cannot look at traditional crime and cyber crime in the same way. Being able to understand the differences and have laws that are separate will be important in the way that cyber attacks can be looked at from a criminal standpoint. It is extremely important to know how to treat these sort of situations in a court of law.
Technology is so advanced these days that victims may not even know that they are being attacked. Some cyber criminals have had years of experience and know exactly how to properly attack their victims. I think that in the future cyber technology needs to develop so that we can continue to satay ahead of the criminals.
