Layered Reality is so Cool!
I really enjoyed this week and working with layered reality. I particularly liked my animal virtual tour. I think it was cool how it felt like I was actually in the museum. I loved angling the camera in different ways to see different parts of the museum, the exhibits, and other things. I think the information was invaluable but also so proactive because you can take a class or yourself on a virtual field trip that actually mimics a real field trip. Deep breath! I’ve been very stressed. I say this to explain how nice it was to leave the comfort of my home without having to do just that.
A note on QR codes. I don’t really like them but I know a lot of people do. I see the benefit. I see the benefit not only to life but also to the classroom itself. I choose black and white because I think it pops. I found the choices in the product this week to be similar in ease. I think I’d like to fiddle with this more in my upcoming projects and career.

I too enjoyed the layer reality tools this week. SInce covid, I have actually taken many virtual tours to destress and “leave the house”. My friend and I actually visited a market in Japan where you have a tour guide (a real person) walk you through the market. You could even purchase items and have them shipped to your home. This, of course, was not a free tour but my friend arranged it and it was really fun to see parts of the world in real time.
