This paper is about how I would balance the trade off to training and additional cybersecurity
technology. This shows precisely how the most effective way the funds should be used.
Balancing
I would suggest putting a little over half of the budget towards employee training and the rest to
additional security in the company. Having our employees more familiar with ways on how to
approach threats if they ever become greater than a greater security and employees not having
the best idea on how to stop the attack before it breaks into the systems. We also need our
employees to be able to maintain the security, update it, and overview the securities. This is a
very logical reason to put more funds in training than additional security.
Importance
If our employees are not trained correctly it can lead to some very serious problems. They need
to be more aware of risks and teach them how to recognize these risks and other threats. Not
only this but they can lead to greater protection for the company. Having these people correctly
understand situations and how to handle them the most effective way can solve the problem
quicker.
Conclusion
The tradeoff of training and additional cybersecurity for the company should be into training and
less into additional security. Giving employees the ability to be more comfortable in situations
they are more productive which we want in this company. Especially training them how to avoid
risks can save a lot more money in the future for more investments.
