Are there certain areas that you would want to focus your career on? Explain which areas would appeal the most to you and which would appeal the least.

I chose to major in cybersecurity because a career in cybersecurity can go in many directions. As cybersecurity continues to grow in importance, more specialized roles are emerging. When I do receive my degree in cybersecurity, I want to focus on becoming a cybersecurity analyst. Starting as a cybersecurity analyst creates opportunities for me to follow my interest within the world of information security and create a career path that’s right for me. With a cybersecurity major there is practically unlimited growth due to technology continuously updating. As an analyst, your job duties can vary depending on the industry or employer I choose. Common job tasks include monitoring for security breaches, investigating cyberattacks, writing reports, and installing software. This interests me because I personally love technology and all the unique ways you can use it. I am willing to take in all the knowledge possible to help put a stop to technological attacks and threats.  Cybersecurity is critical for the present and future so professionals are in high demand which will help me obtain a good career job when I finish college. Again, technology is constantly growing so the least appealing thing is staying on track with the constant growth of technology. Regardless of that I feel like cybersecurity analyst would be a great career path for me. I would enjoy continuously learning about technology and how to protect it from hackers.
