The media influences society understanding about cybersecurity because some of the information that is broadcasted in movies is not true. This indication gives the wrong idea to viewers who watch these films and are influenced by what they see. The speed of hacking is often exaggerated in films which can influence viewers to try it, not knowing how long it will actually take or the consequences they might face. For example, in the video Ocean 8 they showed Rihanna spear phishing and it took her limited time to turn on the victims webcam without him knowing. In reality, it takes more time and interaction from the victim whether its them running an application or installing something so that the hacker can gain access. A viewer might see a film like this and want to try it not knowing exactly what they are doing but expecting it to be easy.
