I would explain empiricism as emphasizing evidence-based decision making, which is critical for detecting and controlling threats through data analysis and practical trial of security measures. Determinism, in my opinion, is also consistent with the knowledge that cyber incidents are brought on by particular, identifiable elements, which enables experts to identify weaknesses and anticipate potential breaches. In order to prevent needless complexity that can lead to new vulnerabilities, parsimony encourages the creation of simplified and effective security procedures. Objectivity guarantees objective analysis and decision-making, which is useful for evaluating risks and putting defenses in place based on facts rather than speculation. When combined, these concepts help cybersecurity experts develop practical, evidence-based plans to safeguard systems and respond to changing threats in a methodical, scientific manner.
