This was by far my favorite assignment. For this assignment we were instructed to do five acts of kindness for five different people. Afterwards we were asked to do a reflection of how this in return made us feel and made the individual feel that the act was performed on. What I learned from this assignment is that the simplest act of kindness can easily make someone’s day. In doing all of this, it reminded me of something that I talked about in my ethics class sophomore year. During a class discussion we talked about how the world would be if everyone was kind and followed a social contract ensuring the betterment of society and others. What I took away from that discussion is that if everyone was kind, the world would ultimately be a better place. After doing this assignment and seeing how only positives came from it, that allowed me to believe that this theory would definitely be true. This assignment was personally relevant to me because I always try to be a kind person. Though we were asked to do it for this assignment, this is something that already comes naturally for me.
Below I picked an image with a quote that I think portrays the perfect message for this assignment. In the conclusion of my original assignment I stated that the world would be a better place if everyone was more kind to others. I drew this conclusion by seeing how happy and grateful people were when I did my act of kindness

ATA4: As mentioned in my original assignment, this assignment was very telling of the type of lover I am and my styles of love. What made this assignment interesting to me and one of the favorites is that I got to complete it with someone close to me. I completed the assignment with my significant other and did a comparison of our results in my original assignment. In the end, it ultimately showed that the areas I scored high in for my gender, he scored low in for his. Though there were differences, these differences are what keeps our relationship growing and healthy. When looking at my results individually, I believe they described my personality and the type of lover I am very well.
This assignment reminded me a lot about the things I learned in my women’s studies course. Though this class sounds like it would solely be about women, we talked about males a lot as well. In one of our discussions we talked about how males and females differ in feelings and their basic needs and wants out of a relationships. This explains why although me and my significant other work well together in our relationship, our scores were very different because our basic needs, wants, and emotions will always be different.
Below I included a picture with a quote that says love is not what you say, love is what you do. I thought it was very fitting because this assignment showed me that my love style is based of a lot of the things I do and how I am in my current relationship. Things that I do in my relationship are very telling of the type of lover I am, and again that shown through my results.

ATA2: For assignment number two, we were asked to find 6-12 pictures that portray who we are. For this assignment I picked pictures that captured my outlook on life. For me that being happiness, positivity and optimism, I decided to choose pictures of me in my happiest moments. This included various pictures while on vacation, and pictures of me watching the sunrise with my significant other. Though the pictures were only of myself, they were taken while I was with some of the most special people in my life. Looking back on this assignment, I can see that I’m able to apply this to sociology, another one of my favorite classes taken at ODU. This class taught me the importance of the relationships we have with people through all aspects of our life. In addition to that, it taught me how the people you come in contact with often have an effect on how you navigate through life, and how you interact with others. With that being said, I naturally have a positive outlook on life and all that it has to offer. In order to continue navigating through life with an open mind, I surround myself with people who not only think likewise, but also bring me happiness. These are the types of relationships that keep me levelheaded and on track. Lastly, this assignment was personally relevant to me because I love capturing special moments, for example my vacation pictures. It was fun to reflect on those special pictures and show who I am as a person.
Below I added a picture of a plane traveling during sunrise. As stated above two of my happiest moments were created while on traveling, and while I was watching the sunrise with my significant other.
