My TV News Production class details
My TV News Production class introduced a holistic approach to reporting for TV. I was able to manipulate video cameras, conduct research on events happening on-campus and the surrounding area, and collaborate with my peers on story ideas. I developed an understanding of being deadline conscious and knowing how to manage my time in the process of completing coursework. I also learned the importance of maintaining effective communication while scheduling appointments to meet with individuals for various projects.
During my COMM 387: TV News Production course, I exercised the following skills:
- Conducted interviews and shot b-roll
- Write stories for PKG’s and VOSOT’s and Edit footage on Final Cut Pro
- Manage ODU TV News Social media platforms
- Make connections by engaging with the ODU community
