Andriy Slynchuk points out a lot of things people do online that might seem harmless but are
actually illegal, and some of them are pretty serious. An example is collecting information about
kids online without proper consent is a big deal because it puts minors at risk and violates
privacy laws like COPPA. Pretending to be someone else online, whether for catfishing or
scams, can lead to emotional harm or even financial fraud. Sharing someone’s private info, like
their address, photos, or passwords, without their permission, is another major violation that can
lead to stalking, harassment, or identity theft. Then there’s cyberbullying and trolling, which
might seem like just being annoying online but can have real mental health consequences for
the people targeted. Lastly, making illegal or suspicious searches, like how to build a weapon,
isn’t just risky; it can actually get you flagged by law enforcement. These actions might seem
small in the moment, but they can have serious legal and personal consequences.
