In this Journal I will talk about what is the overlap between criminal justice and cybercrime? How does this overlap relate to the other disciplines discussed in this class?
The overlap between criminal justice and cybercrime is major, you can not have cybercrime without involving criminal justice, as cybercrime is a crime. This means that cybercrime relies on criminal justice. This is because without criminal justice in cybercrime there might be no laws made about cybercrime and all cybercrime could go without any consequences. This would be a very bad problem as one of the only reasons people do not commit cybercrime is it is too big of a risk. if there was no risk people’s credit card information and their personal information would be stolen and there would be nothing the government can do about it. There is a small problem in that criminal justice takes time to develop, and laws are generally made after the first big crime is done, like with the first virus. But as computers advance, I am sure that criminal justice will eventually catch up.
