Here are my ratings. First is multiple reasons. Second is money. Third is recognition. Fourth is revenge. Fifth is political. Sixth is entertainment. Seventh is boredom. I rate multiple reasons as first because many motives can be interlinked, so someone who wants recognition and money can achieve both at the same time from cyber offending. I rate money as second because many people hack for the money because they need the money to buy luxurious products and provide for the family if they are poor. I rate recognition as third because hackers want to get credit for their achievements and gain press to show the power of their organization. Without recognition, they will not be motivated to execute more riskier threats. I rate revenge as the fourth because some people are triggered by a devastating event, so they might do something to feel better and see the victim get frustrated by the problem. I rate political as the fifth because countries hack to compete with top talent and see which countries are vulnerable to a full scale attack. I rate entertainment as the sixth because some hackers believe that they are excited through crime and continue to do it as a fun activity. They will do more riskier activity to make themselves happy and watch others suffer from the aftermath. I rate boredom as the seventh because those hackers are very few because most hackers are occupied with other matters, so only those who have lots of time and nothing to do will resort to hacking for the sake of being bored.
