I feel like the Marxian economic theory relates to this sample email because this theory states
that people with money exploit those without power for their own personal gain. These relate to
the sample because the company is sending out this email almost a year from when the incident
happened and I’m sure they are expecting for no one to report anything because they seemed
reassuring in the message. Another economic theory that relates to this sample is market
failure. The company should have contacted the customers about the breach rather than having
a delay. Social Science theories associated with this is Functionalism because there must have
been an issue that messed up the stability and order that a company should have. Another
social science theory is violation of social contract because the company is supposed to protect
customers’ sensitive information but the company failed to do this.
