This TED talk was very informative and eye opening on the ways that the career of
digital forensic investigators relates to the principles of social sciences. I think that the speaker’s
pathway to his career was fascinating because he said that he started off as an accountant and
through networking he was able to get the job of digital forensic investigator. I have heard from
many other professors that networking can be very vital in the career world. I like that he broke
down what the job really was and he explained what the process can look like. Watching this
TED talk helped me understand that getting your foot in the door and being around an
environment that you want to work in, even if you aren’t doing your dream job, can lead to
amazing opportunities.
