Before I started studying the world of cyber security I loved cyber movies and television
shows. I like the thrill and the way the movies and shows made hacking seem so cool. I still
enjoy watching Hacking movies and think they are super interesting but now I am able to better
see the nonsense or, as Keren Elazari had called it in the video, “Hollywood Jargon” that is used
just to make hacking seem more scary rather than using actual terms. After watching the video I
can definitely see that the media often makes hacking seem like it is done in an instant. The
movie Hackers, which has always been one of my favorites, shows the world around the hacker
continuing to move but the hacker is almost in another world when trying to figure out how to
crack or uncover whatever it is they are working on. The movies are still interesting to watch but
I wish they were more accurate so that if people really did want to learn from them they might be
better able to.
