There are plenty of others majors that are related to Cybersecurity. Some of these majors include Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, and Information Technology (IT). Just like Cybersecurity, all of these other majors include technology-related work. Information technology (IT) is very simulator to cybersecurity as IT’s primary mission is information security and to ensure systems and contents stay the way they are. IT protects data and technology assets. While IT is primarily the protection of information, information science is primarily the management of information in any form. Each one of these 4 majors provide foundational knowledge and skills that can be used to understand cybersecurity challenges.
