There are many ways that I can relate Maslow’s hierarchy of needs to my own personal experiences with technology. The first need is psychological needs. In today’s word, technology is essential in life. Phone calls especially are essential as you can be in a position where you may need to call for help while no one else is physically around. The second need is safety needs. This also relates back to my first answer, as emergency services can be contacted with the use of technology. I’ve had people around me need to dial 911 for an ambulance or other safety reasons. The third need is love and belonginess. Nowadays technology is also commonly used for social interactions such as video gaming, social media, or just texting friends and loved ones. The fourth need is Esteem needs. Most people nowadays may compared themselves to the achievements and accomplishments of those they see online or post their own personal achievements and accomplishments online for others to see. The fifth and last need is self-actualization needs. The way I’d relate this to technology is through learning. There are many online sources to learn new skills to further help you develop in a certain area of your life.
