Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the course of this class I have developed a number of skills. I am now able to comprehend the language quicker. I can now read and pronounce words that were once difficult for me. I am also able to create sentences in Spanish, while using the proper conjugated verbs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this course I learned about different cultures. I was Introduced to a map that shows the Spanish speaking countries. I then answered questions that made me identify the description of the countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to engage in different communities, to learn and gain a perspective from others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During my time in this class I have been able to identify and describe myself in Spanish. I am able to say my first name, last name, birthday, where I live, where i’m from, ect. I am also able to describe myself and how I feel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was pretty familiar with the content of this project. Before taking this class I knew how to say my name in a sentence, my birthday and also how to describe myself, using “soy”. I was able to enhance my Spanish writing by coming to class and participating in the activities. My professor would encourage us to go around class and ask our classmates about themselves and they would ask me about myself as well. This helped and gave me insight on different Spanish words and I also got a chance to learn about my classmates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have worked on and presented many Spanish speaking videos. The first video was an interview between me and a classmate where they ask me question and I respond with another question. The second video is of me, talking about my favorite places to go on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall making these Spanish speaking videos wasn’t very difficult. I always start off with writing down the information I was going to include in the video. This gave me the opportunity to read and practice as many times as I needed before recording the video. Something I struggled with was trying to pronounce specific words. I was able to overcome this struggle by slowing down when I talk and actually pronouncing all syllables. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interpretive Readings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During this semester I’ve read things such as letters, messages between people and also passages that require me to answer questions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sentences In Spanish are formed differently than the English sentences. So when I read them, I would question why they were formed this way. For example when saying my birthday in Spanish, I would say “dos de junio”, but in English I would say June 2nd.
