Cyber networks constantly need improvements as the cyber world is ever-changing. Also, cybercrimes are becoming more and more relevant in this digital age. Many cyber networks keep in touch with other networks to keep their network safe in that way. For example, if a hospital is breached through a faulty firewall, the hospital should let the neighboring business in the area of this attack. While this is somewhat effective, the most effective way to keep a cyber network up to date is by an engineer. In a general sense, engineers create the initial software of the network and are always looking for potential updates as well as the potential to create a new whole network. This is one of the most important things that an engineer does to ensure the safety of a cyber network because the engineer can completely look through the network and find any holes or vulnerabilities. When a vulnerability is found, the engineer has the authority to invade the vulnerability like a hacker but instead of using this hack for monetary gain, he patches up the issue. Engineers also do a number of different tasks including looking out across the network and through the software to make sure nobody is gaining access, running different software programs to make sure the data is not being encrypted or stolen, making sure that the cyber network is running as best or as optimally possible, configuring and setting up firewalls, and testing new and or upgraded software. Because of all of these reasons having an engineer look over a cyber network is basically essential. Going back to the previous example about the hospital being breached through a faulty firewall, if there is an engineer present the risk diminishes to almost non-existent. Hopefully, engineers will be able to continue to find and create new cyber network solutions.
