At the cyber security, Career Connection event came across and met multiple employers. The ones that I met and stood out to me from this event were the FBI, ManTech, Sentara, and Fleet. after meeting many of these employers, the one that stood out to the most was fleet. Fleet is a locally-owned business that offers a paid internship that lasts for 4 years. what’s interesting is that if, after 4 years, the company enjoys having you as a paid intern, they will then offer you a position in the company. In other companies, they will offer positions as a full-time employee for a semester on and a semester of an employee. In fleet, even though they are working on creating an internship program, they would like to have the internship be task driven. I did talk with AARMOR, and their company was interesting however they did not fit what I was looking for at this time.
