I have been teaching psychology for nearly 25 years and have served as a full-time faculty member at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA for almost 20. The courses that primarily occupy my teaching load for are Social Psychology and Cross-Cultural Psychology; however, I am looking forward to adding Positive Psychology in Spring 2023! In this duration, I have experimented with incorporating various High-Impact Practices into my teaching practice. I have facilitated two study abroad trips to Rome, Italy, engaged in a four-faculty psychology learning community, implemented ePortfolio projects in my large-enrollment online courses, and actively collaborate with the LeADERS team to engage students in these activities. I recently completed the Quality Matters Teaching Online Certificate to keep current with best practices in online teaching.
