Growing up in a bilingual household, I had an idea of the highs and lows when learning a new language. However, I never thought I would be making this journey with online schooling due to a pandemic.

I have been overwhelmed with the discoveries I made throughout this course. Due to Covid-19, in the beginning, I was hesitant about taking another Spanish course online. However, I quickly understood the importance in engaging with the language not just in class on Zoom, but in everyday life. For example, I spoke Spanish with my coworker, watched Spanish-speaking shows, and listened to Spanish music and podcasts. On top of that, I utilized all my resources to help myself.

Looking back at the semester, I realized my comfort within the language lies in my writing and reading, not so much my speaking and listening. Looking forward, I understand just the beginning of what it takes to better my skills.
