Here is a highlight of what I think is my best and worst work and why.
The first Talk Abroad assignment was difficult for me to accomplish for many reasons. First, I was nervous to speak with a native-speaker for a length of time. Because the topic was uncommon and the speaker was a stranger, I had no idea what to expect. While completing the assignment, I began to feel more familiar with the standards and goals but I had no idea how it would turn out. In the end, I felt uneasy about how the conversation with my partner went and how I presented it. However, I eventually learned how to better prepare myself and feel comfortable with using a new language with a stranger.
On the other hand, the second composition was one of the first assignments I felt confident in. Admittedly, it was at the tail-end of the semester where we had learned and reviewed so much of the course. However, outlining and writing out my response felt almost easy to me. My response was a personal story that involved many details. With a few corrections, I turned in my final draft and felt confident.
