Ways Computers Have Made the World Safer:

Faster Help in Emergency:
Computers have made it easier for police, firefighters, and doctors to respond quickly in emergencies. They can find the exact location of accidents and communicate with each other faster. This means that when accidents or disasters happen, people can get help sooner, which saves lives.

Better Security and Surveillance Over Facilities:
Computers help us keep important places safe, like airports and big events. They can spot suspicious things on security cameras and warn security personnel. Also, they can protect our computers and information from being stolen by hackers.

Better Healthcare:
Computers help doctors see inside our bodies and find out what’s wrong. They also help keep track of our health records. We can even talk to doctors online if we can’t go to the hospital. All of this makes our healthcare better and keeps us healthier.

Ways Computers Have Made the World Less Safe:

Computer Attacks and Hacking:
Sometimes, people use computers to steal our information, like bank details or personal information. They can also break into computer systems and make them non-functional, causing problems. This makes the world less safe because our information is at risk, and important services might not work.

Privacy and Spying:
Computers can collect a lot of information about us, like our browsing history. This can be good for advertising, but it can also be a problem. We might feel like someone is watching us all the time, and that makes us feel the lack of freedom.

Dangers of Smart Devices/Machines:
Computers control things like self-driving cars and military weapons. If they make a mistake, it can be really dangerous. For example, a self-driving car could create an accident, or a weapon might hurt innocent people. We need to be careful about how we use these to keep the world safe.

In conclusion, computers help in many ways to make the world safer by improving emergency response, security, and healthcare. However, they can also make the world less safe due to computer attacks, privacy concerns, and the risks associated with smart devices. It’s important to use computers responsibly and protect our information and safety.
