CPSs are known for their ability to: a) monitor the physical\u00a0environment; b) use the monitored data in detecting the\u00a0state of the physical\u00a0environment; c) control the physical environment; and d) use cyber\u00a0communications to perform its monitoring, detection and control operations.\u00a0This\u00a0course will introduce the state-of-the-art CPS technologies, ranging from\u00a0Internet-of-Things to clouds. The objectives are to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">learn the basic concepts, technologies and applications of\u00a0Internet-of-Things (IoT),<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">understand the fundamental security challenges and practical\u00a0countermeasures and attacks in IoT systems,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">learn the basic architecture,\u00a0technologies and applications of\u00a0Industrial\u00a0Internet-of-Things (IIoT) for critical infrastructures,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">understand\u00a0the vulnerabilities of IIoT and the related critical national security impact,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">learn\u00a0the basic concepts of cloud infrastructure and its service models and\u00a0deployment modes,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">understand\u00a0cloud deployment, management, and scaling techniques,<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">understand\u00a0vulnerabilities and threats and learn security and privacy policies and solutions\u00a0in clouds, and<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">gain\u00a0hands-on experience with IoT and cloud systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cyber Physical System Security Cyber\u00a0Physical Systems (CPSs) integrate computing, networking, and physical\u00a0processes.
