To inspire and educate the general public and military, using effective methods of assessing threats to public health. Through military service and dedication to the field of public health, it is my mission to spread awareness to improve health outcomes.
Three areas of interest in public health:
-Communicable disease control
New communicable diseases are unprecedented and emerging every year; which is why my dedication to spread awareness to help keep them under control is critical for the safety of all.
-Environmental health
A health environment is a concern for all aspects of human health.
-Preventive medicine
Prevention and education are key in the dynamic processes to stop the spread of diseases.
My role as a Navy Environmental Health officer upon graduation has key roles that I may have to cover such as, food service sanitation and safety, public health sanitation, water and wastewater safety for ashore and afloat, communicable diseases, risk communication and many more. It’s my responsibility to have the education and learn and spread awareness to improve health outcomes for all.
