what helped me understand some of the perspectives of cultures is the fact the textbook was indef on many topics and the vhl videos.

the textbook and the vhl videos helped me understand that life in some of these countries outside the USA is different and people who live differently have different ways of doing traditions. this was good insight because you don’t really hear about outside news from the media.

Interpersonal Communication

in Span101 we use blackboard and the oral speech on blackboard to communicate with each other and to complete assignments.

when going into Span101 I wasn’t really expecting to communicate much cause it’s online but glad we did. it gave me more understanding of some words and better meaning behind them. I also gained an understanding of how to communicate in Spanish through some discussion boards.

Presentational Writing

this semester we did multiple assignment that was presentational. examples of them are the family tree and the email.

after writing the assignments it made me realize my shortcomings when writing in Spanish. for example, I had trouble putting some sentences into words that I would like in Spanish especially on the email. it made me realize I need to practice more and give more thought to some translations.

Interpretive Listening

during this semseter we had many insting actvites which revolved around videos then answering questions based on them and some with just audio.

listening was probably one of the best ways to learn for me. it helped me

this semester the only thing i read about Spanish is the textbook

when some things I would struggle line trying to write my family tree I went to the textbook to help to understand rather than going to the internet for understanding.
