A rogerian argument is a negotiating tactic that identifies a common goal. It also involves typing similar beliefs, values, customs, and arguments that you and the audience have in common. The assumption, therefore, is that you and your intended audience share common ideas, beliefs and arguments. The rogerian is typically written in positive papers. The rogerian outline consists of introducing the problem, lay down common belief and ideas, reveal the position that you stand for, show instances where and when your position is better, and then state your thesis. The rogerian can take any tone that helps get your point across while writing.
My experiences writing the rogerian argument is that it took a lot of research to do. The research that I found really put my point that the racial issues in drama is quite an issue going back from the 1960’s. The research also made think about the various of racial issues going on in today’s society like the various shootings of African-American men in the United States. The issues can get fixed throughout if the media get more called out on their reporting of ethnic/racial incidents in the future. before it’s too late. The media should be held accountable for their actions in order to prevent more disarray.
