The career of digital forensic investigators relates to social sciences in several ways.  The first way is the high amount of financial crimes and the loss of literal money from said crimes, digital forensic investigation relates to economics.  The impact of financial crimes on the economy has risen dramatically since the pandemic, with more and more fake online websites, scams, and even delivery scam sites being made.   Another way digital forensic investigation relates to social sciences is psychology.  Digital forensic investigators must be able to arrive at conclusions based on evidence in the same way that other investigators arrive at conclusions. This relates to psychology both in their knowledge of who presents victimhood traits as well as understanding what criminals might be looking for or looking to obtain and what is motivating them to do whatever it is they are doing.  Finally, digital forensic investigation relates directly to criminal justice and criminology since it is used to detect crimes, to preserve digital evidence for the prevention of crime or the prosecution of a crime, and obviously the tactics used will be similar but in a digital online setting.
