I am United States Navy veteran. I served seven as half years as an Aviation Ordnance Man. Being in the military afforded me many opportunities to grow as a leader and a team player. My heart has always been with the sea. As I took my leave from the Navy I turned to another passion, marine animals. Here at ODU, I am studying biology with a concentration in marine biology and zoology. I am also a mother and a wife. Which are two of my life’s greatest accomplishments. My husband is a United States Marine and our daughter Leanora, has just turned one and is running the house. We have three dogs who aid and encourage my daughter in destroying anything at waist height.  Due to having a full plate with school, baby, husband, and dogs I do not have much free time. However, I do steal away some time to work on my art. My husband and I started an art business called Creative Potato. I spend any free time I have filling orders or just simply creating art or any kind. My goals are to raise a beautiful brown child that is not going to need therapy. Secondly, to always be a supportive and encouraging partner to my husband. Thirdly, to move to a home with a huge yard for my dogs. Finally, to graduate on time and land an awesome job doing what I love daily.
