The NIST as a whole can be used as a reference tool or for newcomers in the cybersecurity field that need or want to do their own research ahead of time. The NIST is a frame of reference that a newcomer to this area of IT can understand critical infrastructure and how the framework incorporates new mechanics. Page 6 of the article talks about some of the framework basics and 4 of the framework’s core elements. By using this framework, all organizations including non-cybersecurity related are too benefited because of the framework being a reliable reference tool for the cyber organizations to use in order to protect privacy and IT infrastructure for other organizations.\u00a0 NIST framework also has a 7-step process on pages 14-15 on how it can improve its own programs.
