Task 6 Submission
After doing research of different evaluation types and methods, I have decided that the Process Evaluation Is the most suitable for my evaluation. The Process Evaluation looks to examine a program/s characteristics and outcomes, based off information gathered. The Process Evaluation allows for different techniques in gathering the data needed for an evaluation report, to include surveys and interviews. As I have chosen surveys and look to gain information on the satisfaction and staff response to programs, I feel that the Process Evaluation is most appropriate. My research questions look to gain insight on staff’s perspective of the success and areas of opportunity of the program in which they provide services in. Completing a Process Evaluation will allow me to gain thorough data into reporting information regarding my research questions. The Process Evaluation will allow the program stakeholders to see the quality of the program and to have evidence of its effectiveness.
After moving through the course, I eventually decided on using the Improvement-Focused Evaluation as I wanted to create my evaluation and hopefully use the findings as a resource for the agency to use when looking for areas of growth in their program(s).
