Throughout my time studying cybersecurity, I’ve learned a lot about how technology works, how cyber threats happen, and what it takes to protect people and organizations. My CYSE classes have helped me build a better understanding of network security, cybercrime, risk management, digital forensics, and the different ways people can protect information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the biggest things I’ve learned is that cybersecurity is about more than just computers. There is a lot that goes into keeping systems safe, from understanding how attackers find weaknesses to knowing how organizations should respond when something goes wrong. I’ve also learned that laws, policies, and ethics play a big role in this field because security decisions can affect real people and their personal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some of my coursework has allowed me to explore topics like vulnerability assessments, network traffic, security policies, cyberattacks, and data breaches. These assignments helped me connect what I was learning in class to situations that happen in the real world. They also showed me how important it is to keep learning because technology and cyber threats are always changing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I’ve progressed through my classes, I’ve started looking at cybersecurity from different perspectives. It’s not just about stopping an attack. It’s also about understanding why attacks happen, how to reduce risks, how to recover from incidents, and how to make responsible decisions when handling sensitive information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moving forward, I want to keep building my skills, work toward additional certifications, and gain more hands-on experience. I’m interested in opportunities involving cybersecurity, government work, and cyber law or digital forensics. My goal is to take what I’ve learned in my CYSE classes and continue applying it to real-world situations as I work toward my career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This portfolio is a place where I can show some of the work I’ve completed, reflect on what I’ve learned, and demonstrate the skills I’m continuing to develop.
