Cyber technology has created opportunities for workplace deviance by allowing access to individuals who utilize the systems for use beyond the purpose of those systems. For example, if an employee lacks motivation or is not satisfied with their work, they may use those systems for non-work related purposes. Whether it be scrolling social media, or even download games or programs onto the device to pass the time, it could mean for a possibility of downloading malicious code. If an employee shows discontent or hatred for their work, they may consciously choose to attack from the inside, or perhaps remove certain necessary protective measures that could result in a breach or other means of cyber threat attack. Training and ensuring employee satisfaction go hand in hand, as with either of these missing, it could result in a costly and unfortunate incident.
