In the workplace, work is happening everyday. Days go by, and people do their thing. Sometimes, things don’t always go according to protocols and procedures. For example, a co-worker may need access to a confidential document, and their co-worker sends it on their personal smartphone. This action would have created an open hole in security. With all the devices connected to the internet these days, it’s hard to keep things on secure. That is why proper training is critical. However, not all deviances are accidental, or victimless. One may want revenge, or want to cause trouble with someone or something because of the resources that they have access to. This is very evident in hacking. Many hackers steal credit card, identities, and money. The thing is, it’s never been easier for them to do so with all of this tech. That is why technology has really allowed for workplace deviance. One can just sit at the computer to get all the info they need (unless proper user access controls are implemented). In this day and age, things are changing, it while some of it is for good, it can also create some bad things and opportunities.
