With 1 being the most likely and 7 being the least, my list of plausible reasons for cybercrime is as follows:

7. Boredom – Certainly cybercrimes have taken place due to nothing other than boredom but this is not the most likely option.
6. Entertainment – much the same as boredom.
5. Recognition – Our society is full of people who crave any kind of acceptance and validation they can get
4. Revenge – Malware can do some nasty things, getting on a hacker’s bad side could be costly.
3. For money – Ransomware is lucrative and can get a hacker huge amounts of cash if done properly.
2. Politics – In my other classes we have been studying various instances of cyber attacks in the world of politics, they are very real and very serious.
1. Multiple reasons – Its the most likely answer because its the most human, all of these can play a role in a cybercrime, it is not limited to just one.
