Ethical concerns are bound to arise when storing electronic information about individuals. The most glaring concern is privacy. Humans, especially Americans value their freedom and privacy, or at least an illusion of it. Storing information quickly becomes an invasion of privacy when you make note of every single little thing a person does. Another concern is hacking, as if the data is not secure and is stolen the person who was supposed to have that data secured is responsible for the loss. Ethics are also a concern when you store genetic information digitally, like DNA.
Cybersecurity is a huge issue not only in America though, but worldwide as well. In countries with very low average incomes, many resort to hacking to get by, whether that be on their own or as an employee at a large business of scammers and hackers. These kinds of facilities are completely foreign to Americans, as most nobody thinks of black hat hackers as being employees at a business, but for some people it is the best way they have to make money.
