Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

In Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, each level of the hierarchy must be accomplished in order to achieve the next tier of the hierarchy. The first tier is Physiological needs it is part of the basic needs and is summed up to be anything obtainable in the physical realm. For the use in technology the first tier would be having a AC/heater to stay cool or warm and stay acclimated to any weather condition. The next tier is security, internet safety is important, can be facilitated by applying multi-factor authentication and device encryption to harden physical devices. Belongingness and love needs can be accomplished with technology used as a socialization tool by using applications like social media to communicate with others. Esteem needs feeling of achieving something can be met with technology either through social media success or even looking up motivational videos online. The final tier is self actualization, this tier is fulfilling ones full potential. This can be met through technology as a medium for growth. Such as having access to digital art applications allowing individuals to fully express themselves.
