In today’s age, I feel like we are all surrounded by multi cultural and ethnic people and neighborhoods. One of my favorite things to do with my family is to try different cuisines at different restaurants such as Ethiopian, Mongolian and Spanish. At the end of this semester, I am taking a trip to Tulum, Mexico where I will be practicing all the Spanish I’ve learned so far. It has already come in handy when we booked several reservations and excursions.
Although Tulum is fairly touristy and mostly everyone speaks English, I am excited to test myself by being able to order meals in Spanish, or even read the menu! I’d like to converse with as much as I am able to in Spanish.
My job causes me to travel fairly often, all over the world, for tournaments and competitions. I am confident that Spanish engagement will play a part in my daily life in the future to come.
