Hello, my name is Joseph Guinn and I am in my last semester at ODU. I started my education at Old Dominion University when my wife and I lived in Virginia while being active duty. Since then, we have moved across country to Boise, Idaho and had a baby boy named Oliver.

To be honest, I’m currently in my dream job, so my goal is to just finish up school with no hiccups and be done. I am the head Muay Thai Coach at Straight Blast Gym- Idaho. The gym has about 900 members and the Muay Thai team holds roughly 30 professional fighters, everything from amateur fighters to professional at Bellator and UFC.

I love my job, because what started as a hobby turned into an opportunity for me to make people better and growth. I train everyone from moms, to children and the top, elite professionals. I’ve always loved working with people and just to know that I am able to help someone in their day, whether it be to take their mind of stress or to earn a paycheck from a fight win, this sport really is selfless.

I really doubt someone in my profession will ever be referencing e-portfolio. I am creating this for my Spanish Course.
