Out of my current courses, Linux System For Cybersecurity was one of the many courses I took which I learned a lot. Just by the name you can already tell what this class entails. This course teaches students basic operations with Linux in cybersecurity. The course taught me how to configure user authentication, Shell scripting, and file permissions. Below are coursework for the course.
Assignment 6 File Permission
Week6.docxFor Assignment 6 File Permission, the objective was to understand how to configure file permissions from different users with different roles. In the first part of my assignment, we can see the commands To create different groups and users, that would be configured with the assignment. Next, I assigned each user to the correct group and checked the value of umask and permission. I go on to change the permission for Sophia, so the user would be able to view and create a file or directory. I change into another user, Emma, to attempt to view the file called “Sophia_homework”.
Assignment 11 Basic Network Configuration
annotated-Week2011.docxFor Assignment 11 Basic Network Configuration, the object was to configure the network connection for ubuntu.com and Odu.com through a virtual box.
Assignment 12 Advanced Network Configuration
Week-12For Assignment 12 Advance Network Configuration, we used two different virtual machines and tried to connect them to the same internal network. I demonstrated the connection between the networks and the firewall by configuring the IP address and the tables.
