Intro Network & Security was one of the courses that taught me most of the Information Technology information I know to this day. This course was one of those classes that were easy to pass or easy to fail. As long as students stay on top of coursework, this class should be a breeze. We had hand-on exercises that taught skills we would use in the real world in IT/Cybersecurity careers such as creating network cables and creating diagrams for home or business computing networks.
Hands-On Exercises 3
annotated-Mod200320-1We used Microsoft Visio to map out the network connections we had in our current home. For my diagram, I display how the internet is connected to my service provider’s modem and how the modem is used to connect all my devices to the network either wirelessly or wired.
Hands-On Exercises 6
annotated-Mod206.docxHere I displayed how I can test any internet connection, speed, and quality for a certain device with certain URLs.
