Interpretive, Interpersonal, and Presentational Modes of Communication
Exploring Culture

The thing that helped me the most in understanding better was all the Lingo Learning work I did that helped me understand that language a little bit better. The videos and activities I did in the site I like a lot.
The Lingo Learning site helped me see that our vales and attitudes aren’t all that different from one another in many ways we are the same it is just we value and have an attitude about is different. It didn’t really challenge my worldview Ive always have had a pretty good worldview. I will that one thing reveled to me was that there is so much beauty and wonders all over the world. I did not have any stereotype but a misconception that I had was that I thought that the Hispanic culture did not have a market like it does I thought the market place was like a store here in America.
Engaging in Communities
The importance of engaging in communities is that you get to know the people in them what they value and to see how they act as a whole. Engaging can bring people together in the community and form new relationships from that.
I unfortunately didn’t get to engage with the community due a busy scheduled I had this year did not leave me much time for engagement even though it is important to do so.
Interpersonal Communication
During this course we had to talk to with our professor three time in a Spanish conversation for 15 minutes about different topics and we also had a few assignments on Flipgrid where we spoke in Spanish about a topic
The conversation activities that we had have helped me grow as a better speaker of the language I think before it was hard to talk now its easier to communicate with someone else that is learning. Flipgrid helped me to better at understanding the language from someone who can speak it very well. Ive been able to understand communicate better from it. The discussion board posts helped he to learn about different things and places within the Hispanic culture and learn about what other people from my class like and enjoy about it. I learned a lot from each activity and if I were to do anything different it would to be put more time into it.
Presentational Speaking
There wasn’t any presentational speaking this year due it being online course but the closest thing would be the conversations with the professor and Flipgrid.
Presentational Writing
I had to complete a few different composition writings in the course. In Lingo Learning I had to write new sentences in Spanish and change the form of words. These proved very challenging and helpful. I had to write discussion board posts in Spanish every week and that was helpful.
I think that all of the activities have helped become and better writer in the language at first it was very hard to make the sentence correct now its very easy. Id say for me what became easier was writing out sentences and is still difficult is changing the form of different words I overcame this by studying more. How I can be better is just by more studying.

Interpretive Listening
One listing activity was listing to the professor speak then responding to her. In Lingo Learning I had to listen to questions and statements of different things and answer questions based of what I had heard.
I had to listen to my teacher as me different things like what describe what I see in this image or get asked what I am wearing and record and respond in Spanish to the question. It was very simple and a little bit challenging to come up with something to say. The Lingo Learning listening questions where either true or false or listening to a conversation and answering questions based on what you heard. I enjoyed these as they were very easy to do and understand. I found the Lingo Learning activities most interesting, my takeaway is that listening makes you better at understanding the language.

Interpretive Reading
Lingo Learning I had to read many different articles about different places and activities in the Hispanic culture. I had to read different types of letters and passages in Spanish and the answer questions based on what I read.
Reading the letters and passages and listening to what they had to say made it clear what goes on in the Hispanic culture and what there is to do and see there. Listening and reading the different emails made it easier to understand how a casual conversation in Spanish would be. I found the Lingo Learning readings to be most interesting. Ive grown in better understanding on how to read in Spanish.
