Journal Summary 2
I feel like the editing skills checklist has been one of the most helpful things in the class. The editing skills checklist is a great way to view your writing progress over the year while also allowing you to see what you’re doing good and bad on as well. For example on essay 2 I did very poorly on a few areas, and I was able to find out how to fix these problems with the help of the editing skills checklist as it helped you look for your issues and also help solve them. For essay 3 I did way better than essay 2 I even improved on the areas I did very poorly on in essay 2. Even then I still wasn’t perfect on my essay and I even did worse on some areas but that was okay, because I was able to see my progress of being a writer and it also help me refresh on that area to see why I did worse than on my previous essay. For some things I feel like that the editing skills checklist did very well was allow you to see all your strengths and weaknesses from the past essays which I think is very helpful when looking back over the semester and seeing how well you’ve improved in your writing as well as seeing what you could also work on as well if you didn’t completely improve in some areas. Overall I think the editing skills checklist is the most helpful tool available and should be used for all classes that involve writing as it is a great way to see your writing growth throughout the year.
