Reflection ePortfolio Experience

I feel like the ePortfolio would’ve been very beneficial to me to keep track of all my progress this year and see the progression of my writing. The one fault that makes it not useful to me is the fact I kept ignoring them and didn’t complete them.  My constant procrastination is definitely something that needs to be worked on. I believe once I beat that weakness I could write pretty decent essays.   One thing I have realized from all these essays is that one of my biggest weaknesses is writing an essay without actually completely comprehending the prompt and completely going off topic in some body paragraphs. One thing that has actually been very useful to me are the editing skills checklist they really help you see your problems and make sure you know what areas you need to work on. For example for myself I have a problem putting commas in unnecessary places and sometimes not putting commas when I do need them. I think all those errors I do could be fixed if I took the time to go to writing review sessions and actually get my essays checked then they would see the errors and I wouldn’t be doing those errors as often. I feel like the ePortfolio didn’t help keep track of my first semester in terms of my first year experience it keep track mostly of how I progressed in my writing and some other things such as my own beliefs that I put in my About Me. I think it would’ve been better to do journal summaries of how our weeks are in terms of what we do and what we experienced that week that way it would actually keep a true progress of what we experienced in our first semester.
