University 150
Reflection One
During the last 6 weeks, University 150 has been a lesson learned to the techniques of writing. I didn’t realize it was more than just paragraphs and concept maps. The goal of UNIV is to enhance the writer of his/her writing to the proper level. I realized that my writing was far more worse than others, and it needed a lot of improvement. My noticeable strengths were that I provided as much detail as possible to the subject/prompt. My worse weakness is that I have a hard time trying not to go overboard and repeating the same criteria all over again.
My goal after this semester is to finish UNIV 150 knowing how to write a top-notch paper for everyone to read. The plan I propose to fix the issue is make sure the details I write are the details for the prompt. Also, the I plan to change the setting that I do my homework and papers in general. I noticed that given a quiet place I can write better and focus quite well as suppose to a loud area. The biggest difference in the setting is that, the more time I have the more time I’ll be focused. The other issue is that I can’t balance time correctly, that’s the reason why it’s hard to focus.
The educational setting is very different than the normal high school classroom. The writers in college are very professional and focused, as suppose to the past experiences in high school. Since its only my freshman year, I have to get to the college level to be able to accomplish my goals. I realized without that balance everything wouldn’t be in place. I learned my lesson that writing in college isn’t a joke, it’s better to take it seriously then never.
